Job summary

Aerotek in Lafayette, IN is seeking a General Production Worker Mold Setter to support injection molding operations. You will change molds between runs, set up machines, and maintain safety and quality.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, operating forklifts and cranes, and performing basic data entry. Training and career growth are provided, with shift premiums for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience preferred; injection molding or mold-setting experience is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools.
• Ability to safely operate production equipment and follow safety procedures.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Change molds between production runs following established procedures.
• Set up and adjust injection molding machines for optimal performance.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and support preventive maintenance activities.
• Inspect and measure parts to ensure quality standards are met.
• Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
• Troubleshoot machine and production issues and report quality or safety concerns.
• Complete production documentation and data entry accurately.
• Operate forklifts, cranes, and other equipment safely as needed.
• Support continuous improvement, TPM, and EHS initiatives.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
