Job summary

Plasman in Fort Payne, AL is seeking a Set-Up Technician to support daily production by setting up molds and maintaining related equipment. You will manage mold storage, operate overhead cranes safely, and configure end-of-arm tooling on robots under supervision.

The role requires strong mold knowledge and clear communication. You must have at least 3 years’ experience with molding presses, show ability to be trained for the listed duties, and maintain safe operation per site rules.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 3 years experience working with molding presses and have an excellent working knowledge of molds.
• The ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal)
• The ability to be trained for the above-mentioned responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Mold set-up and maintain mold storage area
• Operate overhead cranes in a safe manner
• Set-up end of arm tooling on robots
• Ensure proper set-up as set out by the Production Supervisor/Lead Process Technician/Process Technician
• Ensure equipment is in good mechanical condition to provide safe operation
• Comply with established rules, procedures and health and safety mandates
