Job summary

Magenta-LLC is seeking a Set-up Technician to operate overhead cranes and forklifts, load molds, and set up machines according to production sheets. You will adjust platen heights, input mold change data, and ensure safe, accurate start-ups in a manufacturing facility.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 5+ years of maintenance experience, strong problem solving, teamwork and a willingness to train.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical aptitude with strong problem‑solving skills.
• Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes (certifications a plus).
• Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service mindset.
• Willingness to attend training and grow your skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, crouch, kneel, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate an overhead crane to move molds between racks, machines and pallets.
• Operate sit down forklifts, reach trucks, and manual lifting devices to move molds and items.
• Read and understand production process sheets to ensure accuracy in machine set up.
• Set up machines by inputting process numbers, adjusting temperatures, and configuring robot programs.
• Climb into, under and around machines to position molds and perform changes.
• Inspect and clean molds, report damages, and arrange repairs as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and keep work area clean and safe.
• Train new and existing team members on functions to improve efficiency.
• Work a full-time schedule with overtime as needed including weekends.
