Job summary

McDonald Plastic Molding, Inc. is seeking a Mold Repair Technician to perform all aspects of mold repair and preventative maintenance to ensure quality products and on-time delivery.

You will analyze and correct tooling problems, read 2D mold designs, set up tool room equipment (manual/CNC), and support maintenance to improve production methods and equipment reliability. Associates degree or trade certification and at least five years of mold repair experience in plastics manufacturing are

Qualifications

• Associates Degree, Trade Certification or equivalent years of work experience.
• Five years of experience in mold repair in plastics manufacturing environment.
• Strong tool build/design knowledge and ability to read 2D mold designs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on injection molds and disassemble for inspection, cleaning and repair.
• Analyze, diagnose and correct tooling problems on the production floor and in the Tool Room.
• Set up and operate tool room equipment, including manual and CNC machines.
• Support maintenance and contribute to improving production methods and quality.
• Maintain stock inventories and operate a forklift as required.
