Job summary

Protolabs in Minnesota is seeking a Mold Process Technician to set up, monitor, and optimize injection molding processes, improving cycle times and reducing waste while maintaining safety and quality.

You’ll work with decoupled molding, load materials, inspect molds, and program UR robots. The role is weekday day shift with a competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, including health, 401(k), PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or 5 years’ related experience in molding.
• Experience adjusting process parameters to fix defects in molded parts.
• Knowledge of decoupled molding and engineering resins.

Responsibilities

• Set up and start up molds using decoupled molding practices.
• Load material into the machine hopper and inspect molds.
• Set up UR robots for automation and quality checks.
• Develop machine parameters and document cycle sheets.
