Job summary

Nordson EFD LLC in Rhode Island is seeking a mold technician to set molds, start up and run production, and train a technician-in-training when needed. You will troubleshoot molding processes, address quality issues, and coordinate with maintenance to minimize downtime in a manufacturing environment.

The role requires 2–5 years of mold experience, knowledge of plastics, and experience with computer controlled equipment. A forklift/pallet jack is a plus, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience with molds in a manufacturing environment.
• Troubleshooting molding processes and basic adjustments.
• Experience with forklift and pallet jack preferred.
• Knowledge of plastic materials and their processing.
• Experience with computer controlled machines; Engle machines/robots preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set molds in presses and run production using established processes.
• Train process technician trainee as needed.
• Troubleshoot molding processes and adjust for quality and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot machine/tooling malfunctions and coordinate with repair.
• Suggest improvements to molding department efficiency.
• Maintain housekeeping and environmental safety.
