Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of experience working with molds (mold setting and injection mold processing) in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Start up molds and modify process parameters as needed.
• Process mold to produce samples for First Piece Inspection and troubleshoot dimensional or visual issues.
• Identify improvements to molding process for cavitation, cycle time and parts containment.
• Pull and set molds for production requirements.
• Troubleshoot molding processes to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Assist/Train junior technicians in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Identify tooling issues and submit work orders for repair.
• Identify injection molding machine or auxiliary equipment issues and submit repair orders.
• Provide and implement ideas to improve molding department efficiency.
• Communicate problems and needs to supervisor.
