Job summary

Chart Industries in Stafford, TX is seeking a Mold Operator to mold billets, PTFE liners, and encapsulated discs using various molding methods. You will blend materials according to engineering standards and keep molds and materials clean while recording production data.

Ideal candidates may have a high school diploma or GED with related experience, and must be able to read a tape measure, work with downtime and follow established procedures in a factory environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience may suffice.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Must read and write proficiently.
  • Must be a team player with good attitude.
  • 0-2 years experience in machine operator capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Mold billets, PTFE valve liners and encapsulated discs using multiple molding methods.
  • Blend materials per engineering standards and procedures.
  • Ensure proper use of tools and equipment per standards.
  • Maintain maximum cleanliness of molds and materials.
  • Load molds with materials and operate equipment to fabricate preformed parts.
  • Maintain accurate production records and job history.
  • Keep work area clean and orderly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will You Do?
  • Mold various size billets, PTFE valve liners and encapsulated discs with all molding methods
  • Blend materials in accordance with engineering standards and procedures
  • Responsible for the proper utilization of tools and equipment necessary to produce molded products in accordance with engineering standards
  • Assure maximum cleanliness of both molds and materials is maintained at all times during the course of operation
  • Load molds with proper materials and operate equipment with established procedures in order to fabricate preformed parts
  • Maintains accurate production records and job history
  • Keeps a clean and orderly work area
  • Performs any other assigned duty as directed by management
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
  • Continuous standing and lifting of 5 to 35 pounds
  • Frequent bending, stooping, pulling, pushing and climbing
  • Must be able to operate a sit down forklift and stand up (cherry picker)
  • Able to work in extreme temperatures, cold and hot
  • Must be able to read tape measurements
  • Must be able to follow routine procedures
  • Must be able to use complex equipment requiring continuous attention
  • Must be able to make minor decisions
Your Experience Should Be...
  • May require a high school diploma/GED or previous years of experience in the field/related work area in lieu of education
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Must be able to read proficiently and write legibly
  • Must have demonstrated good job performance and good attitude
  • Must be a team player
  • 0-2 years experience in machine operator capacity
