Job summary

Chart Industries is hiring a CNC Machine Operator at the Beasley, TX facility. You will support the Header Manufacturing team by setting up machines, following procedures, and ensuring quality through testing and inspections.

The role requires ability to read drawings, use measurement tools, and operate CNC equipment with GibbsCam and Siemens controls. As part of a team responsible for air cooled heat exchangers and related products, you must meet safety standards, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform

Qualifications

  • Reading a tape measure.
  • Reading and comprehending shop drawings.
  • Knowledge of safety practices and hazards related to machine operations.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Experience with GibbsCam for programming.
  • Operation of a 3-axis CNC Mill using Siemens controls preferred.
  • Ability to edit minor program parameters.
  • Operate a Band Saw.
  • Change machine and tool offsets as needed.
  • Operate head cranes and use various hand tools.
  • Deburr and clean headers after machining.

Responsibilities

The CNC Machine Operator plays a key role in the success of our Header Manufacturing team. If you have extensive experience in CNC Machining, we invite you to apply!
The Beasley facility manufactures Air Cooled Heat Exchangers, Fiberglass fan blades and more. The end users of this equipment and these services include all the major LNG, petrochemical and air separation engineering on a worldwide basis. The facility is located in Beasley, Texas. Overtime available.

The following positions are available:

Day shift - 1

Night shift - 2

What Will You Do?

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follows instructions on how to set up machines at beginning of shift to ensure proper operations
  • Learns testing procedures to ensure optimum operations during production procedure
  • Maintains and cleans machines before and after shifts
  • Monitors machines during each procedure to ensure optimum operationPerforms random tests to ensure accuracy
  • Performs periodic checks to ensure quality production

REQUIREMENTS - MUST BE ABLE TO DO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Ability to read and comprehend shop drawings
  • In depth knowledge of safety practices and hazards related to machine operations
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to operate a horizontal CNC Mill preferred
    • Program the machine by using GibbsCam
  • Ability to operate a 3-axis CNC Mill using Siemens controls preferred
  • Ability to edit minor program parameters
  • Ability to operate a Band Saw preferred
  • Ability to change machine and tool offsets
  • Ability to operate head cranes
  • Ability to operate a variety of hand tools
    • Deburr and clean headers following the machining process.
  • Ability to adjust vision focus
  • Ability to work shift work
  • Ability to meet production goals
  • Ability to complete tasks
  • Knowledge of basic mathematical principles
  • Knowledge of mechanical tools
  • Ability to work overtime when required

Your Experience Should Be...
