Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East seeks a Mold Maintenance Technician to support multi-cavity mold production. Responsibilities include cleaning and changing over molds, diagnosing quality issues, and coordinating repairs with the Mold Maintenance Lead.

Candidates must interpret blueprints/CAD, use milling, EDM and surface grinding, and have strong attention to detail. 5-year mold maintenance experience preferred; on-site schedule 6a-6p Fri–Sun, $17/hr, with evaluation to hire

Qualifications

• Able to interpret blueprints, CAD and Solidworks.
• Deep mold manufacturing knowledge (fitting tooling, venting, frame interlocking).
• Capable of using milling, surface grinding, and EDM to tight tolerances (+.0002).
• Collaborates with a process technician to troubleshoot repairs.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Experience with micro welding and machining to repair steel.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair molds to ensure production readiness.
• Perform cleaning and changeover of molds.
• Diagnose root causes of mold quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain documentation of mold repairs and spare tooling.
• Coordinate with Mold Maintenance Lead on timing of repairs.
• Report weekly status of spare tooling and tooling inventory.
• Follow safety and ISO quality practices.
