Job summary

Qualifications

Journeyman certification is required.
5+ years of mold-making experience within injection molding manufacturing required.
Experience building and assembling new injection molds required.
Experience setting up and operating tool room equipment including CNC mills, EDM, Wire EDM, drill presses, grinders, and saws.
Experience using CAM software for mold manufacturing and machining.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

Use CAM software and machining processes to fabricate injection mold components and build molds from start to finish.
Build, fit, and assemble new injection molds while meeting quality and production requirements.
Modify and repair existing injection molds and tooling as needed.
Set up and operate tool room equipment including CNC mills, EDM equipment, Wire EDM, drill presses, grinders, and saws.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and mold designs.
Machine, fit, and assemble mold components for new mold builds.
Prototype, machine, and fabricate fixtures both with and without prints.
Support mold troubleshooting, modification, and repair activities.
Mentor and coach mold-making apprentices
