Job summary

WorkForce Unlimited is seeking an experienced Mold & Tool Maker for a full-time, direct-hire role in the Winston-Salem area. You will build and repair precision molds and tooling, using CNC, EDM, and manual machines while adhering to tight tolerances and GD&T specifications.

The position requires strong blueprint reading, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in a hands-on manufacturing environment. Onsite work offers stability with weekly pay and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in mold making, tool making, machining, or Tool & Die experience.
• Strong mold repair and maintenance experience.
• Experience building and repairing precision molds, tooling, and fixtures.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair, modify, maintain, and troubleshoot molds, inserts, fixtures, and related tooling.
• Break down, clean, repair, reassemble, and maintain molds and tooling.
• Reverse engineer existing molds, tooling, and components when drawings or specifications are unavailable or need updating.
• Machine precision components using CNC and manual equipment, grinders, and EDM.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements; work to tight tolerances.
• Diagnose mold and tooling issues and determine appropriate repairs.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production on tooling projects.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Compensation: $32 to $38 per hour

Employment Type: Full Time, Direct Hire

WorkForce Unlimited is partnering with a stable and growing manufacturer in the Greater Winston Salem area to identify an experienced Tool & Mold Maker.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, repair, modify, maintain, and troubleshoot molds, inserts, fixtures, and related tooling
• Break down, clean, repair, reassemble, and maintain molds and tooling
• Reverse engineer existing molds, tooling, and components when drawings or specifications are unavailable or need to be updated
• Machine precision components using CNC equipment, manual equipment, grinders, and EDM
• Perform fitting, spotting, polishing, grinding, hand finishing, assembly, and inspection work
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements
• Consistently work to tight dimensional tolerances
• Diagnose mold and tooling issues and determine appropriate repairs
• Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production on tooling related projects and production needs

What You’ll Bring

• Five or more years of mold making, tool making, machining, or Tool & Die experience preferred
• Strong mold repair and maintenance experience
• Experience building and repairing precision molds, tooling, and fixtures
• CNC and manual machining experience
• EDM experience is highly valued
• Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
• Experience working to tight tolerances
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem solving ability
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• High school diploma, GED, or related technical training preferred

Interview Process

WorkForce Unlimited will complete an initial recruiting and qualification conversation.

Qualified candidates will then meet onsite with the hiring team for a technical discussion and facility visit.

There is currently no formal hands on technical assessment.

The company is prepared to move quickly when the right candidate is identified.
