Alcon's Houston facility is seeking a skilled Mold Maker to repair, maintain, and optimize complex injection molds used in high-volume ophthalmic production. The role emphasizes quality, uptime, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting mold issues, performing preventive maintenance, interpreting engineering drawings and CAD models, and documenting activities in CMMS while working closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

Role:

Mold Maker at Alcon's Houston manufacturing facility, responsible for repairing, maintaining, and optimizing complex injection molds used in high-volume production of ophthalmic products.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshooting mold issues, disassembly, inspection, repair, and preventive maintenance of multi-cavity and hot runner systems, with a focus on quality, uptime, and compliance.
• Interpreting engineering drawings and CAD models, documenting activities in CMMS, and collaborating closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Production teams.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in English
• Onsite work
• Up to 10% travel
• Experience in injection mold repair, precision toolmaking, and reading engineering drawings and CAD preferred.
