Job summary

Our client in Mission, TX is seeking a Mold Maintenance Technician to join the Maintenance Department and support production operations. The role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude.

Key duties include preventive maintenance on molds, troubleshooting and repairing issues on the production floor, setting up and changing over molds, and operating tool room equipment such as milling machines, CNC mills, EDM machines, grinders, welders, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of mold maintenance, mold repair, tooling, or related manufacturing experience.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Ability to adhere to safety procedures and complete equipment inspections.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on molds and tooling equipment to ensure optimal operation.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mold and tooling issues on the production floor to minimize downtime.
• Set up, change over, and modify molds according to production requirements to meet quality standards.
• Disassemble and assemble mold components, including hot runner systems, ensuring safety and precision.
• Operate tool room equipment such as milling machines, CNC mills, EDM machines, grinders, welders, and polishing equipment.
