Job summary

Pier Foundry & Pattern Shop, Inc. is seeking a Mold Machine Operator for our heavy industrial manufacturing environment. The role involves operating mold machines, setting up for production runs and ensuring safety and quality in every step of the process.

WAGE: $22.00 per hour with $1/hour shift differential. 10-hour shifts (Mon-Thu 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM) plus overtime and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, life, 401k, PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, preferred.
• Previous experience in core making or related machine operation preferred
• Prior foundry or heavy industrial work experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate mold machines to meet production demands of the melt department.
• Follow safety policies and wear required PPE at all times.
• Reads and interprets all job card instructions to understand job specific requirements.
• Staging of cores and patterns for upcoming job runs.
• Performs changeovers and ensures smooth transition to next production run.
• Sets up mold machine for operation.
• Performs pattern inspections before running job.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Inspects each mold to ensure quality.
• Performs daily machine operator preventative maintenance.
• All other duties as assigned by management.
