Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Machine Maintenance technician to inspect and repair molding machines, perform preventive maintenance and follow Amcor Life Saving Rules. You will work under the Molding Machine Maintenance Manager or Lead, communicating activities and maintaining safe, orderly equipment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent; trade/technical certificate a plus; mechanically inclined; self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Complete work assigned by Manager or Lead person.
• Communicate activities with Manager and other department members.
• Maintain neat and orderly appearance of plant and molding machines.
• Assist in other departments as requested by Manager or Lead person.
• Seek training to stay current with job requirements.
• Assume control of machine in unsafe situations and follow safety protocols.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, government and/or appropriate regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES and AUTHORITY:

• Must be trained on, understand and follow all Amcor Life Saving Rules.
• Inspect and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, electrical and mechanical systems on molding machines.
• Perform preventive maintenance procedures as specified.
• Complete work assigned by Manager or Lead person.
• Communicate activities with Manager and other members of the department.
• Maintain neat and orderly appearance of plant and molding machines.
• Assist in other departments as requested by Manager or Lead person.
• Seek training to stay current with job requirements.
• Assume control of machine when a situation arises which has potential for personal injury or rapid deterioration of machine.
• Responsibilities and Authority include assuring compliance with federal, state, government and/or any appropriate regulatory law or guidelines
