Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Machine Maintenance technician to inspect and repair molding machines, perform preventive maintenance, and support the Molding Machine Maintenance team. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and technical training is a plus; candidate should be mechanically inclined, a self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision, and eager to learn.

PURPOSE: The purpose of a Machine Maintenance technician is to inspect and
repair molding machines as directed by the Molding Machine Maintenance Manager, or Molding Maintenance Lead.

RESPONSIBILITIES and AUTHORITY:

Must be trained on, understand and follow all Amcor Life Saving Rules.

Inspect and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, electrical and mechanical systems on molding machines.

Perform preventive maintenance procedures as specified.

Complete work assigned by Manager or Lead person.

Communicate activities with Manager and other members of the department.

Maintain neat and orderly appearance of plant and molding machines.

Assist in other departments as requested by Manager or Lead person.

Seek training to stay current with job requirements.

Assume control of machine when a situation arises which has potential for personal injury or rapid deterioration of machine.
