Job summary

Amcor is seeking a hands-on manufacturing professional to oversee molding, finishing and packaging operations in a fast-paced facility. You will set up and monitor equipment, conduct visual and dimensional inspections, and drive improvements in productivity with the support team.

Emphasis on quality, safety, and adherence to procedures is essential for every shift. You will coordinate with maintenance and quality to ensure efficient line operation, train new staff, and implement process changes

Specific Duties


  • Responsible for controlling the manufacturing process to produce the ware that meets the requirements in keeping with our Quality Policy. The control of this process requires periodic procedures including visual inspections and dimensional inspections that are used as a part of their SPC charting. Also responsible for documenting any changes made to the recorded parameters of the molding process. You have the authority to manage, perform and verify work affecting quality.

  • Production Operation Molding, Finishing and Packaging Equipment

  • Set up and monitor all equipment

  • Locate and correct problems that cause line backups

  • Analyze and solve productivity issues in conjunction with manufacturing support team

  • Perform assigned P.M. functions

  • Prepare, Train and insure adherence to equipment procedures/work instructions to insure safe and efficient operations of equipment.



  • Monitor, Inspect & package Product

  • Inspect product on a continual basis to insure quality and efficient machine operation.

  • Make adjustments of consult Technician for corrective action, as appropriate.

  • Prepare, Train and insure adherence to Product procedures/work instructions to insure quality products are being produced.



  • Follow good manufacturing practices


Shop Floor Management


  • Collect data for key performance indicators

  • Participate in daily team meetings

  • Contribute/implement ideas to improve operation performance

  • Write, Train, Monitor work instructions for existing and new employees

  • Adhere to five basics of workplace organization

  • Perform miscellaneous projects and data collection tasks


Authorities


  • Initiate action to prevent occurrences of any nonconforming product or quality systems.

  • Identify and record problems relating to product, process and quality system.

  • Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.

  • Verify the implementation of solutions.
