MSI Mold Builders in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a full-time Mold Designer to join a dynamic and innovative team. The role focuses on creating molds and assemblies for injection molding with attention to detail. You will use Creo or SolidWorks to model parts, generate drawings, and build bill of materials.

Qualifications

High School Diploma and working toward an Associate's degree or equivalent.
One year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent education.

Responsibilities

Create models and drawings for plastic Mold designs using Creo or SolidWorks.
Develop bill of materials and manufacturing details for injection molds.
Perform mass property calculations and interference checks; ensure cost-effective designs.
Produce robust mold designs with cooling, ejection, and mechanisms.
