Job summary

MSI Mold Builders in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a full-time Mold Designer to join a dynamic and innovative team. You will design plastic injection molds using Creo or SolidWorks, create models, drawings, and BOMs, and ensure designs are cost-effective and robust for customers.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent; pursuing AA or technical schooling is acceptable.
One year of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Solid communication skills, both written and verbal; safety-minded and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

Use Creo or SolidWorks to create models, drawings, and BOMs for plastic injection molds.
Design injection and structural foam molds with cost-effective and robust features.
Ensure CAD data supports manufacturing and customer requirements.
