M.C. Molds Inc is seeking a Design Engineer in Michigan to design complex extrusion blow molds for plastic containers. You will work with clients, manufacturing, and sales to capture specifications, create 3D models, and produce detailed drawings and BOMs using SolidWorks.

The role emphasizes applying engineering principles to mold design, maintaining documentation, and collaborating across departments to ensure quality and safety. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience in extrusion blow mold design is a plus.
• Proficient with SolidWorks for 3D modeling.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with GD&T fundamentals and material selection.
• Willing to work overtime and pursue additional training.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with clients, Manufacturing, and Sales to determine mold design specifications.
• Create 3D product designs and drawings per customer's specs.
• Review customer designs for feasibility and fitment.
• Design Extrusion Blow Molds and tooling using SolidWorks per design standards.
• Create 2D mold assembly & part drawings and BOMs.
• Maintain accurate and detailed design documentation.
• Modify existing tool designs and respond to feedback.
