Job summary

Actus Consulting Group in Smyrna, GA is seeking a Mold Design Engineer to lead CAD drawings, mold specifications, BOMs, and modification drawings. You will coordinate with sales, HQ, and AI for pilot and production mold design and support molding engineers.

You will manage mold parts storage, schedule TSC trials, document test results, and assist in reducing cycle times and cavitation, using 2D/3D CAD and 3D scanning tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years related experience in mold design.
• Experience with 2D/3D CAD drawings and documentation.
• Experience reading customer drawings and models.

Responsibilities

• Create preform and mold assembly drawings.
• Document mold specifications and BOMs.
• Plan and support pilot and production mold trials.
• Manage mold parts storage and organization.
• Coordinate with sales, HQ and AI for design records.
• Conduct bottle inspections and tests.
• Read customer drawings and convert to CAD models.
