Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires ability to read and interpret standard specifications and schedules to maintain molds in presses.
• Must follow safety rules and procedures and wear required PPE.
• Good communication and teamwork to ensure high quality production.

Responsibilities

• Remove molds from press for changes or cleaning and transport to mold area.
• Install replacement molds and change glue in serial numbers per specifications.
• Change post inflator rings, spacers and gaskets for proper mold changes and curing.
• Warm up press and load first round to ensure setup is complete; record heats and item numbers.
• Prepare and store new bladders after approval by Quality Control; assist startup/shutdown.
• Maintain equipment upkeep and adjust as needed to maintain product flow.
• Report all equipment malfunctions or unsafe conditions to supervisor immediately.
• Keep work area clean and safe throughout the shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
