Job summary

Pretium Packaging is hiring for a mold technician to support injection molding operations at our Ohio plant. The role will involve mold setups, changeovers, and prepping for production changes, with emphasis on maintaining quality specifications and safe operation.

The incumbent will perform preventative maintenance, assist with line operations as needed, and adhere to PPE requirements while contributing to a clean, organized manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with injection molding processes and equipment.
• Ability to read instructions and quality specs.
• Comfort with using hand and power tools and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Set up and change molds according to production schedule.
• Perform prep work to support mold changeovers and fix process issues.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on production tools and equipment.
• Respond to trouble-shooting calls and assist repairs as needed.
• Monitor lines and operate equipment to meet production targets.
• Maintain cleanliness and safe working environment in the manufacturing area.
• Participate in training to improve technical knowledge.

• Perform Prep work to prepare for mold changeovers and correct process related problems as directed by supervisor.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all tools currently in production such as cleaning and greasing of molds, etc. clean, inspect and lubricate equipment and machinery.
• Respond to trouble-shooting calls and mold performance issues to seek cause and perform or assist with repair. Evaluate and discuss the operation of assigned machinery with other affected personnel.
• Responsible to watch and Operate lines as needed
• Maintain good housekeeping in assigned areas and assist in the overall cleanliness and orderliness of the manufacturing area.
• Attend training sessions to maintain and/or improve technical knowledge and performance
• Must be able to: effectively communicate with internal and external customers, follow written instructions, use a variety of hand and power tools, wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), operate material handling equipment and maintain safest possible working environment for self and all facility associates.
• Perform quality checks on containers to ensure proper specifications are maintained. Document any problems or adjustments made to assigned machinery.
• Follow Plant specified job specification and task list.
