Job summary

Modular, a Qualcomm company, seeks a Debugging Engineer to advance the Mojo LLDB-based debugger for the Mojo language ecosystem. You will work on interactive debugging, IDE integration, and debugging tooling, shaping the roadmap and engaging with the developer community.

Remote options exist with in-person onboarding in Los Altos, CA. Ideal candidates have LLDB internals experience, a pragmatic developer mindset, and a passion for open-source tooling.

Qualifications

• Experience working in the LLDB debugger internals (maintenance, porting or extension for a new language).
• Strong plus: experience with community or developer relations teams.
• Strong plus: history of contributing to other development tools or projects.

Responsibilities

• Drive the development of the Mojo LLDB-based debugger from experimental to mature.
• Work on interactive debugging, IDE integration, debug info formats, expression evaluator and debugging experience.
• Contribute to roadmap planning for the Mojo debugger and tooling; collaborate with mojo compiler team and developer community.
