Job summary

Dermatology Associates of the Tri-Cities is seeking a compassionate Mohs Nurse to join our outpatient Mohs surgery team. You will work closely with our Mohs surgeon to coordinate care for skin cancer patients in a fast-paced setting.

The role emphasizes pre-operative assessments, consent, intraoperative assistance, and post-operative education. Candidates should have an RN/LPN license, strong communication, and teamwork, ensuring safe, efficient patient experiences throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RN license is required.
• BLS certification is preferred.
• Prior dermatology, surgical, procedural, or medical office experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities are important.
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
• Positive attitude, reliability and teamwork commitment are valued.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-operative assessments and review medical histories for Mohs surgery.
• Obtain informed consent and assist the Mohs surgeon during procedures.
• Monitor patients and support them throughout the surgical process.
• Provide post-operative instructions and patient education.
• Track pathology and laboratory results.
• Call in prescriptions and coordinate follow-up care as directed.
• Answer patient calls and address clinical questions appropriately.
• Prepare procedure rooms and surgical trays.
• Clean, sterilize, and maintain instruments and equipment.
• Assist with inventory management and supplies availability.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient surgical environment.
• Collaborate with physicians and team members to deliver exceptional care.
