QualDerm Partners LLC is seeking a Mohs Surgery Medical Assistant to join our Wilmington, NC team. The role involves supporting Mohs surgeons, preparing patients, and maintaining thorough documentation in EHR systems.

Dermatology experience is required, with Mohs or surgical dermatology experience a strong plus. You will work Monday through Friday, assist during procedures, and ensure a comfortable patient experience from check-in to post-operative care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification or surgical technician training preferred.
• Experience working in Mohs Surgery is required.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and surgical aseptic techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and clinical staff.
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and healthcare software.
• Commitment to patient confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA regulations and clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for Mohs surgery by taking medical histories, recording vital signs, and addressing patient concerns.
• Assist surgeons by preparing and handling surgical instruments and equipment during procedures.
• Ensure the surgical environment is maintained in compliance with safety and infection control standards.
• Provide post-operative instructions and support to patients to promote optimal recovery.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient interactions and procedures in electronic health records (EHR).
• Coordinate with administrative staff to schedule appointments and follow-up visits efficiently.
