Job summary

U.S. Dermatology Partners is seeking a detail-oriented lab assistant to support Mohs biology and pathology workflows. The role involves preparing templates, maps, and slides, logging data, and maintaining stain controls while complying with safety and HIPAA guidelines.

Strong accuracy and English communication are essential. Responsibilities include entering pathology results and demographics, handling outside specimen data, and assisting with general lab operations to ensure smooth daily

Qualifications

• Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable.

• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and state/federal regulations related to this role.

Responsibilities

• Enter pathology results and sort reports.
• Enter patient demographics and insurance for outside specimens.
• Log stage/slide counts and file requisitions.
• Prepare Mohs/Excision templates for patient charts.
• Assign Mohs/DAF numbers for sites to be processed.
• Prepare run maps for first stage tissue.
• Load slides on stainer and coverslip slides.
• Maintain safety policies and documentation.
• Perform other duties to support the organization.
