Job summary

Platinum Dermatology Partners is seeking a Mohs Histotechnologist to join our clinical team in Scottsdale, AZ. The role focuses on Mohs-related histology, tissue processing, and specialized staining to support diagnostic pathology.

The ideal candidate will have dermatology histology experience, a BS degree, certification as Histotechnologist, and a valid driver's license. This is a full-time on-site position located in Scottsdale, AZ 85260.

Qualifications

• Prior histology experience, specifically in dermatology.
• Bachelor of science degree preferred.
• Must be a certified Histotechnologist.
• Valid driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Support the diagnostic evaluation of tissue by histological procedures.
• Perform histology duties within MOHS laboratory guidelines.
• Perform a variety of specialized histopathological procedures.
• Handle high complexity testing: receive fresh unfixed specimens, mapping, grossing, sectioning, ink application, relax cuts and scoring.
• Handle non-high complexity testing: embedding, cryotomy, staining and coverslipping.
• Perform immunohistochemistry staining.

Duties of this position include the following:

• Support the diagnostic evaluation of tissue by histological procedures.
• Perform histological duties within the guidelines established by histology and MOHS laboratory
• Perform a variety of specialized histopathological procedures.
• High Complexity Testing includes: Receiving fresh unfixed specimen at time of tissue removal, mapping, grossing, sectioning of specimen, ink application, relax cuts and scoring of tissue as needed.
• NON High Complexity Testing includes: Embedding, cryotomy, staining and coverslipping.
• Immunohistochemistry staining
