Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino, CA seeks a Mechanical Engineer to define module architecture, interface specs, and tolerances for display modules.

You will execute 3D/2D designs, support NPI builds with DOE, and lead failure analyses to ensure robustness across the supply chain. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 2 years of related experience.
• Experience using 3D CAD for subcomponents and assemblies from development to mass production.
• Knowledge of DFMs for manufacturing processes and design changes with suppliers.
• Ability to create 2D drawings using GD&T on 3D parts.
• Experience with NPI builds, DOE, and process capability analyses.
• Proficient in tracking design changes with BOM and delivering DOE results.
• Strong use of solid mechanics and statistics for validating design changes.
• Experience with module/system reliability failure analysis in NPI projects.

Responsibilities

• Define the module mechanical architecture based on cross-functional requirements.
• Collaborate with system teams to specify interfaces, fit, and tolerances.
• Deliver specifications including 3D/2D drawings and manufacturing considerations.
• Audit factories to ensure high yield and quality across steps.
• Define validation plans for ME characteristics of display modules.
• Drive failure analyses and implement corrective actions for robustness.
• Communicate results to peers and leadership; act as cross-functional focal point.
• Support product lifecycle from architecture to mass production ramp-up and launch.
