APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Investigate state-of-the-art mechanical designs and technologies, innovating ways to further improve Apple display performance, and enabling strong and compact system designs; Define the module mechanical architecture based on optical, electrical, mechanical, and other cross-functional requirements; Work with the system team to define the interface to the product including fit, assembly features, and tolerance analyses; Deliver any needed specifications including 3D/2D Achieving system goals through mechanical design optimization, prototyping, new material qualification, and manufacturing processes; Audit factories to review the manufacturing and assembly at each step to ensure high yield and high quality; Define & implement validation plans for ME characteristics of the display modules using scientific & analytical approaches; Drive thorough failure analyses for any issues to reach robust corrective actions; Ensure the specifications are met throughout the supply chain; Communicate validation results to peers and leadership; Act as a focal point among multiple world-class cross-functional teams and suppliers to identify open issues, drive them to closure, and deliver mechanically robust displays; and Support the product throughout the architecture, engineering development, mass-production ramp-up, and launch. 15% International travel required. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $186,472 - $225,300/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.PAY & BENEFITS: Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
