APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Develop software to control electrical systems in sensor technologies. Design, develop, and launch next-generation sensor technologies in Apple products to support world class user Touch sensors. Architect and design capacitive touch sensor modules and systems. Use scientific modeling and analysis including statistical analysis and circuit modeling to explain and predict behavior of next-generation Touch sensors. Design trade off analysis and final design recommendations for design performance optimization in the context of system integration. Analyze and determine fundamental root cause mechanisms for various non-idealities and side effects of electrical and mechanical failure modes observed in the devices. Propose mitigations for side effects including hardware, firmware, or algorithmic mitigations. Scope sensor technology investigations and architect and complete proof of concept investigations by bench-top or analytical mock-ups and participate in roadmap definition and patents. Characterize and validate designs both analytically and in bench-top lab set ups, some of which may require automation. Contribute to technical assessments for strategic decision-making relating to technology. Engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams including firmware, human-interface algorithms, and factory test implementation to support end to end design validation and factory implementation. International Travel Required 10%. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $156,624 - $214,500/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.PAY & BENEFITS: Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
