Job summary

Sunbelt Modular, Inc. is seeking a Metal Fabrication Technician to fabricate, assemble, modify and repair metal components for commercial modular structures. You will use fabrication equipment, hand tools, and drawings to meet project specs and quality standards.

The role requires reading blueprints, measuring precisely, and maintaining safety and organization in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of metal fabrication or related experience preferred.
• Familiarity with metal fabrication methods, materials, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings, blueprints, measurements and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, modify, and repair metal components and assemblies per project specs.
• Measure, mark, cut, drill, bend, form, grind and finish metal materials to requirements.
• Operate metal fabrication equipment, hand tools, and power tools safely.
• Read blueprints and fabrication drawings to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Inspect components for accuracy and quality; communicate issues to supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; follow safety policies.
