Job summary

Sunbelt Modular, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Modular Service Technician to perform service, maintenance, and warranty work on commercial modular buildings.

You will troubleshoot and repair structural, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and related systems, while representing the company at customer sites with high-quality workmanship. The role requires reading blueprints, communicating with customers, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial construction, modular construction, facilities maintenance, or related trade.
• Working knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, flooring, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of building systems.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and light construction equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform service calls on commercial modular buildings.
• Diagnose and repair structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, siding, flooring, doors, windows, and interior finish issues.
• Complete warranty repairs in accordance with company and manufacturer standards.
• Install replacement components, fixtures, and accessories as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
• Conduct inspections to identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Document service activities, materials used, labor hours, and customer signatures accurately.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, equipment, and inventory.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair status, scheduling, and expectations.
• Follow OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies.
• Coordinate with project managers, service coordinators, subcontractors, and vendors as needed.
• Respond to emergency service calls when required.
• Assist with building relocations, reconfigurations, additions, and demolition projects.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance while representing the company.
