Job summary

BLOX LLC in the United States seeks a talented Electrical Engineer to strengthen the MEP team delivering modular hospital projects across several states. You will design electrical systems, perform distribution calculations, and coordinate with engineers, architects, and detailers to integrate your work into a cohesive facility model.

You will ensure designs comply with national and local codes, support manufacturing documentation, and participate in quality reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling and design software, esp. Revit.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Punctual and able to meet deadlines.
• Conscientious and quality-oriented.
• FE on path to professional licensure is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design facility Electrical systems to meet client requirements in projects.
• Perform facility Electrical distribution system and equipment design for a wide range of projects, and collaborate with team engineers, architects, and detailers as needed to model elements into a cohesive facility model.
• Perform calculations, studies, and analysis of Electrical systems and equipment to create design solutions, including load, sizing, coordination, and illumination.
• Layout communications and alarm systems (e.g. fire alarm) and design system single-line diagrams.
• Support production of projects including manufacturing design, computer modeling, and detailing of manufacturing and construction work scopes.
• Generate and maintain models used to create project permitting documents, manufacturing drawings and field shop drawings.
• Perform quality checks on their own work and participate in project-wide quality reviews of the design and drawings.
• Produce design in compliance with national and local codes and regulations.
• Collaborate with installers and vendors to improve quality, flow and efficiency of the design.
