Job summary

BLOX in Birmingham, AL is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the MEP team delivering modular healthcare facilities across multiple states. You will design electrical systems, coordinate with architects and detailers, and contribute to project delivery using the DMC method.

Required: a bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering, proficiency with 3D modeling and Revit, and the ability to work independently and in a team; FE/EIT is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering.
• Experience with 3D modeling and design software, esp. Revit.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Design facility electrical systems to meet client requirements.
• Perform distribution system and equipment design and model into a cohesive facility model.
• Conduct analyses: load, sizing, coordination, and illumination.
• Layout communications and fire alarm systems; create single-line diagrams.
• Collaborate with installers and vendors to ensure design quality and compliance.
• Generate models for permitting, manufacturing drawings, and field shop drawings.
• Support production with manufacturing design and detailing.
• Perform quality checks and participate in design reviews.
