Job summary

The GOR Group, LLC in Salt Lake City is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Manufacturing Technician to join our growing team. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced production environment supporting large-scale electrical and mechanical systems projects.

Ideal candidates have a foundational understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, can read engineering drawings, and possess strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Foundational understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work on-site in a production and fabrication environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes for electrical and mechanical assemblies.
• Interpret, troubleshoot, and repair equipment utilizing engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation to assist prefabrication and production activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives including workflow optimization, tooling upgrades, and safety enhancements.
• Work with engineering, fabrication, quality, and project management teams to ensure accurate and efficient production.
• Conduct process studies, data collection, and analysis to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Assist in evaluating, testing, and implementing new equipment, tools, and manufacturing technologies.
• Participate in quality control activities, including inspections, issue documentation, and root‑cause analysis.
• Maintain and update manufacturing documentation such as SOPs, work instructions, BOMs, and technical reports.
• Support facility layout planning and production execution for electrical and mechanical component builds.
