Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. seeks an Assistant Product Developer for modular data center projects. You will translate requirements into product features, geometry, and functions under the Sr. Product Developer, contributing to schedules, drawings, submittals, and material research.

Responsibilities include creating sketches, validating specs, coordinating with vendors, and supporting cost-saving design improvements while ensuring compliance with NEC/NFPA 70E standards.

Qualifications

Vocational or Technical Certificate in engineering drafting or design, industrial technology, or related manufacturing design.
Electrical background is preferred.
Two years of product development experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

Prepare sketches, drawings, and weekly reports under senior guidance.
Review product specifications and engineering narratives with input from seniors.
Assist with equipment submittals by compiling documentation.
Research materials, processes, and vendors to inform design choices.
Collaborate to apply design best practices and cost-saving opportunities.
Coordinate with vendors to exchange accurate product data timely.
Audit BOMs generated in Revit and verify As-builts and labeling datasets.
Support feeder schedules and labeling strategies for project execution.
