Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. (CEI) seeks an Assistant Product Developer for modular data center solutions. You will translate customer requirements into product features, drawings, and specifications under the guidance of the Sr. Product Developer.

Responsibilities include developing sketches, reviewing specs, and coordinating with vendors while ensuring accurate data exchange and timely submittals. A technical certificate and 2 years in product development are preferred.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical certificate in engineering drafting or design.
• Authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship.
• Minimum 2 years in a product development environment; electrical background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sketches, technical drawings, and weekly reports under supervision.
• Review and annotate product specs and design narratives with input from seniors.
• Audit equipment submittals, extract key information, and package materials for submission.
• Research materials, manufacturers, and processes to inform design decisions.
• Collaborate to implement design best practices and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate with vendors to obtain accurate product data and ensure timely information exchange.
