Job summary

Metric Geo is seeking an Electrical Engineer for its Modular R&D team to design repeatable, factory-built electrical systems for next-generation data centers. The role focuses on delivering power distribution, grounding, and controls from concept to production in onsite modular environments.

Ideal candidates will have experience taking designs from prototype through full production, a strong grasp of manufacturing-friendly design, and familiarity with NEC/UL 508A codes.

Qualifications

• Experience designing complex electrical systems for modular, factory-built equipment.
• Proven ability to take designs from prototype through repeat production.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing-friendly design for factory installation.
• Familiarity with NEC and UL 508A electrical codes.
• Experience with CAD tools like AutoCAD Electrical or Revit.
• Data center power distribution experience or PE license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems, power distribution, grounding, and controls integration from concept through production.
• Develop one-lines, panel schedules, cable layouts, and detailed drawings.
• Troubleshoot integration challenges in modular systems with cross-functional teams.
• Support factory and field teams, driving improvements in new designs.
• Lead prototyping, validation, and design configuration control during rapid iterations.
• Maintain documentation and change control across projects.
