Job summary

Schneider Electric's prefabricated modular data center team seeks an energized Electrical Engineer Co-Op to join our engineering group. The role provides hands-on experience in designing electrical power distribution, grounding, lighting, and essential equipment for modular data centers.

Duration is 6 months (January 2027–July 2027) with some flexibility on end date. You will assist in creating drawings and documentation, review systems, and contribute to BOM development while learning from

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Familiarity with power systems design concepts, including sizing and protection.
• Understanding of engineering documentation, codes, standards, and technical procedures.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be located in the greater Cincinnati, OH area or willing to relocate during duration of the position.
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship provided now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and preparation of electrical drawings and documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and project requirements.
• Support the modification of wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, one-lines, and other standard electrical drawings.
• Participate in the review and design of electrical systems to meet customer specifications.
• Help develop solutions that align with the intended Sequence of Operations.
• Maintain and assist in the approval of schematics and wiring diagrams that capture integration requirements for major equipment in the modular data center solution.
• Contribute to the development of the Bill of Materials for electrical components of system designs.
• Ensure compliance with internal processes and assist in design reviews.
