Job summary

Fluidstack is seeking a cost model expert to lead the estimation of modular data centers. Build end-to-end cost models covering structural, mechanical, electrical, and controls scopes, and price design options within days to support rapid decision-making.

You will work closely with design engineers and procurement to ensure estimates reflect true costs and drive profitable execution across multi-GW projects. This role emphasizes autonomy, speed, and rigorous cost discipline.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating mechanical, electrical, or modular construction scopes.

Responsibilities

• Build and own the cost model for the modular data center product across all disciplines.
• Produce estimates at every design release so the program knows product costs before build.
• Price design alternatives quickly, showing trade-offs like cooling, electrical, and site-built scope.
• Interrogate vendor quotes line-by-line with supply chain; build should-cost models.
• Reconcile estimates against actuals after each build to tighten future estimates.
