Job summary

Porta-King Building Systems is seeking a skilled Electrician to join our manufacturing team in Montgomery City, MO. The Manufacturing Electrician installs, wires, tests, and troubleshoots electrical systems in prefabricated buildings to NEC standards and customer specs.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, laying out circuits, wiring panels, testing with meters, and collaborating with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure on-time shipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; electrical training preferred.
• Knowledge of NEC and ability to read electrical drawings.
• Willingness to pass drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical wiring, conduit, devices, panels, lighting and equipment in prefabricated buildings.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints and wiring schematics.
• Lay out and install branch circuits, receptacles, switches and lighting fixtures.
• Test electrical systems to verify proper operation and code compliance.
• Troubleshoot wiring issues before shipment and assist with startup of completed buildings.
• Coordinate with production, engineering and quality teams to meet schedules.
