Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Modular Electrician to join our team in a fast-paced modular construction/manufacturing environment. This role involves installing, troubleshooting, and testing electrical systems in modular buildings prior to delivery and installation on-site. The ideal candidate has strong electrical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a production setting.
Responsibilities
- Install electrical wiring, conduit, panels, fixtures, and devices in modular units
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Perform rough‑in and finish electrical work on modular structures
- Ensure all work complies with NEC, local, and state electrical codes
- Test electrical systems for proper operation and safety
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues during production
- Work closely with other trades (plumbing, framing, HVAC) to ensure smooth workflow
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Meet production schedules and quality standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of an electrical apprenticeship or equivalent hands‑on experience
- 2+ years of experience as an electrician (modular, residential, or commercial preferred)
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety practices
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work on feet for extended periods
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification
- Prior experience in modular, manufactured housing, or prefab construction
- Forklift or lift certification
- Experience working in a factory or production environment
