Job summary

Evolution USA is seeking a hands-on M365 engineer to optimize and automate our Microsoft 365 environment. You will own a varied workload spanning collaboration platforms, workflow development, administration, and stakeholder engagement.

You will focus on SharePoint Online initially, then expand to broader M365 engineering, Power Platform solutions, scripting, and operational improvement, with regular interaction with business stakeholders.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design, administer, and improve solutions across the M365 ecosystem.
• Build and troubleshoot Power Automate workflows for approvals, notifications, and data capture.
• Use PowerShell to automate administration, reporting, provisioning, cleanup, and repeatable tasks.
• Support SharePoint Online environments: sites, permissions, lists, libraries, metadata, navigation, and document structures.
• Assist with SharePoint migrations, content consolidation, permissions reviews, validation, and post-migration support.
• Gather requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into practical solutions.

We are partnering with a growing, multi-location organization that is investing in the way its internal teams collaborate, automate processes, and use Microsoft technology.

This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys improving how a business operates through Microsoft 365, Power Platform, scripting, and practical automation. You will take ownership of a varied workload spanning collaboration platforms, workflow development, administration, migration activity, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement.

The role will initially include a meaningful amount of SharePoint Online work, but it is not intended to be a narrowly focused SharePoint Administrator position. Over time, the scope will increasingly center on broader M365 engineering, workflow automation, Power Platform solutions, scripting, and operational improvement.

You will join a small, capable technology team where people are encouraged to work across different areas rather than remain confined to a single platform. This would suit someone who enjoys variety, ownership, and direct interaction with business stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing, administering, and improving solutions across the M365 ecosystem
• Building, maintaining, and troubleshooting Power Automate workflows for approvals, notifications, task routing, data capture, and other business processes
• Using PowerShell and related scripting tools to automate administration, reporting, provisioning, cleanup, and other repeatable tasks
• Supporting SharePoint Online environments, including sites, permissions, lists, libraries, metadata, navigation, and document structures
• Helping with SharePoint migrations, content consolidation, permissions reviews, validation, and post-migration support
• Gathering requirements from business stakeholders and translating them into practical, maintainable technology solutions
• Supporting services such as Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online, Entra ID, and the wider Power Platform
• Identifying manual or inefficient processes and finding opportunities to simplify or automate them
• Coordinating technical projects through planning, testing, stakeholder communication, implementation, and post-launch support
• Troubleshooting platform issues, performing root-cause analysis, and documenting solutions clearly
• Improving governance around permissions, naming standards, platform usage, and lifecycle management
• Creating technical documentation, support procedures, user guidance, and solution notes

What we’re looking for

• Hands-on experience administering or engineering Microsoft 365 in a business environment
• Strong practical experience building and supporting Power Automate workflows
• Working knowledge of PowerShell or a comparable scripting language
• Experience supporting a mixture of Microsoft collaboration, identity, productivity, and automation technologies
• Familiarity with SharePoint Online, including permissions, sites, lists, libraries, pages, and document management
• The ability to understand a business problem and turn it into a sensible technical solution
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work directly with senior, non-technical stakeholders
• A well-organized approach with the ability to manage competing priorities and follow work through to completion
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills
• A collaborative and adaptable mindset, with an interest in learning technologies outside your immediate area of expertise
• Experience gained within consulting, professional services, or another stakeholder-facing technical environment would be particularly relevant, although it is not essential.

Useful additional experience

• Power Apps or wider Power Platform development
• Microsoft Graph, REST APIs, JSON formatting, or Microsoft 365 integrations
• Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Entra ID, or Microsoft Purview administration
• Tenant migrations, content modernization, platform consolidation, or acquisition-related integration work
• Microsoft 365 governance, change management, IT service management, or production support
• Microsoft certifications covering Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Azure, security, or collaboration technologies
