Job summary

NCFE is seeking Moderators to join our External Quality Assurance team on a flexible worker contract for the T Level Technical Qualification in Health (Occupational Specialism supporting Midwifery).

You will moderate and review centre-marked work to ensure fairness and accuracy, and produce timely moderation reports. This role emphasizes flexible working and adherence to QA standards within regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification at Level 3 or above in midwifery or related field with occupational experience.
• Experience in teaching, assessing, internal quality assuring or moderating vocational or academic qualifications.
• Strong knowledge of assessment and quality assurance processes and excellent written communication.

Responsibilities

• Moderate to ensure centre assessments are fair, accurate and consistent.
• Review centre marking to confirm decisions meet required standards.
• Produce clear moderation reports within agreed SLAs.

Job description

• Conduct moderation activities in line with awarding organisation and regulatory requirements.
• Review centre marking to ensure assessment decisions are accurate, consistent and meet required standards.
• Produce clear, accurate and timely moderation reports within agreed service level agreements.

We'd love to hear from you if you offer the following:

• A relevant qualification at Level 3 or above in midwifery or a closely related subject area, with current or recent occupational experience in the midwifery sector.
• Experience of teaching, assessing, internal quality assuring and/or moderating vocational or academic qualifications.
• Strong knowledge of assessment and quality assurance processes, with excellent written communication and organisational skills.
