Job summary

Archbishop Hannan High School is seeking a dedicated Color Guard Moderator to direct and supervise the program, fostering student growth and school spirit within our Catholic school community. • Experience performing in or teaching a color guard and/or winter guard.

• Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, staff, and administrators.
• Previous instructional experience with middle school, high school, collegiate, or independent guard programs (preferred).
• Experience designing choreography for color guard (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Teach and reinforce proper techniques for flag, rifle, dance, and movement.
• Design and teach choreography that aligns with marching band objectives.
• Plan and conduct rehearsals and clinics as scheduled.
• Assist with tryouts.
• Collaborate with the Band Director to develop and implement performance programs.
• Maintain high standards of performance, discipline, attendance, and sportsmanship.
• Prepare students for performances, competitions, parades, exhibitions, and other events.
• Provide constructive feedback and individualized coaching to students.
• Ensure the safe use, handling, and storage of equipment and uniforms.
• Assist with inventory management, equipment maintenance, and uniform distribution.
• Support student leadership development.
• Attend rehearsals, performances, competitions, band camps, and other required events.
• Offer winter guard opportunities
• Adhere to school policies and procedures.
