Job summary

Lam Research in the United States (Oregon) is seeking a Modeling Engineer 3 to advance multiphysics simulations for advanced packaging reactor systems. You’ll drive CFD/FEA analyses, collaborate with global engineering teams, and influence design decisions through quantitative modeling.

You’ll own end-to-end modeling projects, develop DOE experiments, and communicate results via technical reports and presentations while contributing to IP generation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of related experience (or 3+ with a Master's).
• Proficiency with commercial simulation tools (ANSYS/COMSOL).
• Strong report writing and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Build multiphysics models (CFD/FEA/ electrochemical) for reactor systems.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams to solve cross‑border problems.
• Simulate structural, thermal, chemical and mass transport conditions.
• Recommend design solutions based on simulation results.
• Develop and execute DOE experiments and validate with lab tests.
• Own end-to-end modeling projects from problem to implementation.
• Produce technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
