Job summary

Esri is seeking a skilled full stack developer to design and build powerful desktop software for ArcGIS Pro’s ModelBuilder. You will craft intuitive frontends and robust backend APIs, collaborating in an agile team to support a global user base addressing complex spatial analysis challenges.

You will drive next-generation workflow interfaces, optimize performance, and work with product engineers to deliver high-quality ModelBuilder capabilities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in C++ with memory management, multithreading and concurrency, performance optimization and profiling.
• Strong proficiency in C# (.NET) including OO design, async programming, parallel processing, DI and lifecycle management.
• Strong understanding of API design and interoperability between C++ and .NET.
• Bachelor's degree required or related field; GitHub portfolio showcasing projects.

Responsibilities

• Build next generation workflow-based diagramming interface and UX for ArcGIS Pro to run simple or complex tool sequences.
• Follow design patterns, development methodologies, and deployment techniques with C++, C#, .NET, MVVM, and WPF.
• Diagnose and fix memory leaks, race conditions, deadlocks, bottlenecks in CPU and memory intensive apps.
• Collaborate in an agile, interactive team to ship high quality software and contribute to unit tests.
• Work with product specialists to create innovative ModelBuilder capabilities and understand backend APIs.
• Contribute to testing to ensure quality and prevent regressions.
