Job summary

Esri in Redlands, CA is seeking a senior C++ software engineer to join the Desktop Architecture team. You will build components and APIs, work with product engineers, and contribute to high-performance, reliable GIS software.

This role requires 3 years of experience, a related degree, and proficiency in C++, OpenGL, data structures, and Python. Esri offers a competitive total rewards package including health, retirement plans, and generous vacation.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience in the job offered, or three (3) years of experience in a related occupation.
• Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, GIS, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Build C++ software components that follow industry-standard design patterns, development methodologies, and deployment models.
• Work closely with product engineers to implement requirements and create application architectures and APIs to meet product goals.
• Design and develop stable software that includes automated test validation.
• Develop reusable components and libraries for use internally and as open source. Work within agile processes for short cycle, fastpaced delivery.
• Take on complex goals that push the boundary of the possible.
• Solve and articulate complex problems through application design, development, and exemplary user experiences.
